Sales manager has the personal touch
FINANCIAL product distributor Personal Touch Financial Services has appointed Martin Igoe as regional sales manager for the Midlands, one of nine new such appointments by the firm. The team will be headed up by Andy Walton, head of dales development, who joined it from Aegon in November. The sales and development strategy will officially be launched in the next few weeks by the Solihull firm, with the aim of improving productivity and delivering a bespoke service to each region. Sales and marketing director Dev Malle said: “We are pleased to welcome the regional managers to our growing network. In a time where marketing budgets are frozen or suffering cuts, we are pleased to show our members we are investing in them and our network’s future. The regional managers are an essential ingredient as we deliver a development strategy for our members. We decided to take the time to recruit our team carefully.”
Duo joins RBS’ corporate team
THE Royal Bank of Scotland has announced two appointments to its corporate and institutional banking division in the region. Wayne Bowers joins as associate director and Joe Dyke as business development director. They will be based in St Philips Place, in central Birmingham, and responsible for supporting the ambitions of businesses in the region. Mr Bowers moves into his role after seven years in the bank’s commercial banking division, where he handled relationships for a number of mid-corporate customers in Leicestershire. Previously of Grant Thornton’s corporate finance team, Mr Dyke joins from RBS’s restructuring division and is responsible for developing new corporate business in the region. Jason Necker, the bank’s Midlands regional director of corporate and institutional banking, said: “These are two important appointments for us, underlining our commitment to providing businesses in the West Midlands with the best possible banking services, tailored to their requirements.”
New relationship director at Barclays
BARCLAYS has appointed Julian Kilsby as relationship director for Barclays Corporate in the Midlands. Mr Kilsby will be part of the Midlands corporate team with specific responsibility for the healthcare sector. He joins the bank from Royal Bank of Scotland where he worked for 11 years specialising in corporate transactions, including mezzanine debt and tax based structures. For the last two years, he was a director in the corporate team in Birmingham with specific focus on the healthcare sector. He said: “I am delighted at being offered the opportunity to join Barclays Corporate and help play a full and active part in an established, successful team.”
