Staffordshire agency signs up new non-exec chair
Marketing agency Interactive Ward Lovett has appointed entrepreneur Paul May as non-executive chairman. The Cannock agency, whose clients include Cousins Furniture, Robins and Day Peugeot and Multilock, appointed Mr May following the merger of Interactive Marketing and Ward Lovett late last year. Director Kerst Ward said the appointment of the Patisserie Valerie managing director was key to the growth of the full service agency. He said: “Paul has extensive experience in working with businesses to achieve their optimum potential, through his roles with Patisserie Valerie, the Greyhound Racing Association and through his partnership with Luke Johnson at Risk Capital Partners. We are delighted that he has come on board and has already begun to help us shape the future of the company, working with us to create a blueprint for the development of our service offer and of the business.” Mr May added: “Interactive Ward Lovett has great potential as a business because it is truly a full service agency. It was this potential, combined with the enthusiasm, commitment and experience of the team which cemented my decision to join as non-executive chairman.”
Prova proves its on right track
WARWICK PR agency Prova has been appointed by London law firm Collyer Bristow to manage the practice’s media and sports profile. Collyer Bristow scored notable success in cases involving former FIA president Max Mosley and F1 drivers Nelson Piquet Snr and Jnr. Prova will be helping the firm offer commentary on a variety of topics and in particular motorsports and sport in general. Larry Cattle, business development director at Collyer Bristow, said: “Having recently expanded our media and sports team, this is the perfect opportunity to manage our growing media profile and showcase the knowledge and experience we have to offer.”
Marketing consultancy aims to scale new heights
EIGHT staff from Edgbaston-based integrated marketing consultancy HRO’C have signed up for the Three Peaks Challenge in aid of children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent. The challenge will take place over 24 hours on June 10 and entails the team ascending and descending the three highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales. They are hoping to raise £5,000 for the charity. Planning director Andy Aston said: “This is a massive challenge for all of us but we are really looking forward to it. The hardest part so far has been finding someone willing to drive the minibus, although I suspect the lack of sleep and physical and mental stress will take its toll soon enough.”
