Morgan Sindall wins place on £500m construction project

RUGBY-based construction company Morgan Sindall has been appointed to work on a £500m construction framework in the East of England.

The contract win, awarded by the Smarte East Alliance, encompasses a four-year programme across three lots, of which Morgan Sindall is working on Lot 2 and 3.

Projects will range in value from £550,000 to £2.5m on Lot 2 and over £2.5m on Lot 3.

The Smarte East Alliance is an alliance between three East of England local authorities, Essex, Hertfordshire and Suffolk councils, which was formed with the aim of achieving efficient and continuous improvement in the procurement and delivery of public sector capital works projects.

Paul Smith, chief executive of parent company Morgan Sindall Group, said: “We are delighted to be appointed to this framework.

“The appointment demonstrates our ability to deliver a wide range of high quality construction projects and our strong footprint across the East of England.

“We look forward to working alongside the three councils throughout the duration of the four-year framework.”
