Virgin and Nationwide contracts boost Carillion

CARILLION, the Wolverhampton-based £5bn global support services company has won two new UK contracts worth more than £200m.

Nationwide Building Society has contracted the group to provide facilities management services for the society’s entire property portfolio in the UK.  Carillion already provides facilities management services for the society’s administration estate.  Under the new three-year contract, Carillion will also provide a total facilities management solution for the society’s 800 high street branches.   
 
Carillion has also been awarded a new facilities management contract by Virgin Media, which renews a current agreement and extends Carillion’s partnership with the telecommunications provider to at 2013 and potentially beyond.  Under the new contract, Carillion will continue to deliver hard and soft facilities management services for Virgin Media’s UK national estate, including their headquarters campus in Hampshire.‪
   
Carillion chief executive John McDonough said: “We are delighted to have secured these new contracts with the Nationwide Building Society and Virgin Media.  This reflects the strong relationship we have built with these customers, for whom we already provide extensive facilities management services.  We look forward to strengthening these long-term partnerships under the new contracts.”
