Carson Yeung ups stake in Birmingham City

BIRMINGHAM City FC shareholder Carson Yeung has increased his stake in the club to 24.9%.

Mr Yeung has acquired 315m shares in Birmingham International Holdings, the parent company of the Blues, from an independent third party, according to an announcement made to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

The deal was done through Mr Yeung’s own company Great Luck Management and represents 8.6% of the issued share capital of the company at the time of the announcement.

The move cements his position as the largest single shareholder in Birmingham International Holdings.

Liu Xingcheng has 12.4%, according to the announcement, and club chairman Vico Hui and his company Premier Rise Investment has 4.5%. Mr Hui is also BIH’s chief executive.
