Motorsport team wins race to buy site

A bid in excess of £1.1m saw Team Dynamics Motorsport accelerate away from the pack of potential occupiers of a warehouse site in Droitwich.

The British Touring Car Championships motorsport business has bought the 23,500 sq ft unit on the Berryhill Industrial Estate.

Team Dynamics Motorsport supports triple British Touring Car Champion Matt Neal and the Honda Works BTCC team.

The site was previously home to Hill & Smith’s pipe supports business, with the stock market-listed business wanting to secure a sale before vacating.

Charles D’Auncey, director at property agents Harris Lamb, said the freehold industrial site attracted “a great deal of interest”.

He said: “Team Dynamic Motorsport were able to satisfy all requirements, demonstrating a commitment to exchange and complete upon Pipe Supports’ vacation, and exceeding the desired asking price.”

The premises comprises of a refurbished two-bay warehouse with offices and cranage set within a secure, self-contained 1.9 acre site.
