Investment will “future-proof” laboratory’s future

A food and water testing company is investing £1.5m on expanding its Wolverhampton headquarters.

Eurofins will add about 11,000 sq ft to its base at i54, increase capacity and enabling the company to strengthen its position as a leader in its field.

The investment will result in food microbiology laboratories expanded on the ground floor, while water hygiene testing will be expanded in a new first floor extension, alongside a larger staff canteen. It is scheduled to be completed by the autumn.

Patrick Harte, general manager at Eurofins Food and Water Testing UK and Ireland, said: “This extension reinforces our commitment to further increasing the services we can offer, harnessing our world-leading laboratory expertise.

“Our investment also means we are future-proofing the facility, widening the scope of what we can offer, giving customers even greater insight to help them make truly informed commercial decisions.”

Eurofins has 11 laboratories in the UK and Ireland and is a major player in food, feed and water testing, offering analytical techniques to support its customers’ quality and food safety standards.
