Communications agency expands after £500,000 contract wins

Communications agency Wyatt International has recruited seven people as it responds to new contracts worth nearly £500,000.

The Birmingham agency continued to expand its presence in specialist markets including engineering, HVAC and construction in a strong start to 2017.

The new accounts cover a mix of PR, social media and digital marketing support.

Karen Bernie, managing director at Wyatt International, said: “In the last 12 months, we’ve redefined our structure and processes to create a thoroughly contemporary, multichannel agency that is perfectly placed to meet the demands of a very changing world.

“As our achievements for the first half of the year show, this exercise is enabling us to perfectly respond to the challenges of our key markets, which crave a more integrated and effective approach to b2b communications.”

It has won an international brief from security solutions specialist ASSA ABLOY, and has also begun working with Keylight Roof Windows and Pyroguard. Other new contracts are with German engineering specialist norelem, Ideal Commercial Boilers, Arden Group, and The European Plastic Pipes and Fittings Association.

To support this growth, Wyatt has also recruited three PR professionals – Jo Medlicott, Ruth Follows and John Edden – and digital and creative marketers Rebecca Mahendran, and Adam Sidaway. Simon Hall also joined the business as head of creative and brand strategy, whilst Andrew Budell has been appointed art director.

Wyatt expects to make three more appointments next month.

Bernie added: “With our new, experienced, and creative team members, we are continuing to build a successful team, which adds value to all of our customers through effective communications. We are now looking forward to enjoying an equally as successful second half to the year.”
