5 things to do in the West Midlands this weekend

Grease
Grab your leather jackets this weekend and head to the Birmingham Hippodrome to fall in love with the classic love story of Grease again. The fun musical will of course include all the best songs from the hit movie, including Grease Is The Word, You’re The One That I Want and Summer Nights. The show also features Tom Parker, from The Wanted, as Danny and Over The Rainbow winner Danielle Hope as Sandy. Find out more here.

Great Midlands Fun Run
Although registration is now closed for the Great Midlands Fun Run, you can still head along to Sutton Coldfield on Sunday from 11am to cheer on those taking part. The 8.5 mile run will take those taking part right around Sutton Coldfield, with the route going through Sutton Park before tackling Cardiac Hill. Show your support whilst exploring the area. Wonder Woman
The highly-anticipated Wonder Woman has finally been released, and this weekend is the perfect time to head out and watch it. The Mockingbird Cinema at the Custard Factory in Digbeth are showing it and have also launched a themed menu for you to enjoy alongside it, with ‘The Olympian’ and ‘Paradise Island’ burgers available to enjoy alongside their licenced bar. We’re Going On A Bear Hunt
Based on Michael Rosen’s award-winning book, We’re Going On A Bear Hunt is set to be brought to life on stage at the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry this weekend. Take the kids along to join in the adventures of the gang as their begin their quest to find a bear. The show will have catchy songs, interactive scenes and plenty for the kids to get involved in. Sgt Pepper 50th Anniversary Show
This weekend marks 50 years since The Beatles released one of their most popular albums; Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. The record will be celebrated on Sunday night at the Hare and Hounds in Kings Heath. The Mersey Beatles will be taking to the stage to perform the very best hits from the record. Find out more here.
