5 things to do in the West Midlands this weekend

The Addams Family
Everybody’s favourite kooky family have arrived on stage at the Birmingham Hippodrome. Wednesday Addams is all grown up and has a shocking secret – she has fallen in love with a sweet young man from a respectable family. But how will the two families cope with a fateful dinner with hilarious consequences. An Evening with Anthony Joshua
The current Olympic Super Heavyweight and IBF Heavyweight World Champion Anthony Joshua is joining forces with The Samba Carnival Experience at The ICC in Birmingham on Saturday night. The event comes just five weeks after his huge fight win and the evening is giving locals the chance to meet Anthony whilst learning more about his personal story. Find out more here.

HSBC City Ride
Cyclists are set to take over Birmingham’s streets on Sunday. As well as a range of free entertainment and lots for the family to get involved with, the event is the best way of exploring the city. From 11am-3pm, cyclists can take in the sights whilst riding down Broad Street, Hagley Road, Paradise Street and Centenary Square. The Kenilworth Show
Head along to Stoneleigh Park in Kenilworth, Warwickshire, on Saturday for the annual Kenilworth Show. Visitors can enjoy strolling around the trade stands and the children’s entertainment area will include archery, crossbows, bouncy castles as well as special appearance from Titan the Robot. The drama of football meets theatre this weekend at Birmingham’s REP Theatre in Stadium. The show will explore the stories and relationships between real Birmingham City, Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion fans, as they share their extraordinary memories.
