Birmingham systems company completes £3.5m relocation to support growth
A Birmingham aluminium systems company has relocated its UK headquarters following a £3.5m refurbishment and expansion.
Reynaers, which produces aluminium doors and windows, has moved to bigger premises in Hollymoor Way, Northfield after outgrowing its previous base in Woodgate Valley.
The firm was aided in its relocation by property company Pennycuick Collins, which has enjoyed a 20-year partnership with the firm.
Originally constructed in 1999, the Hollymoor Way unit has undergone a complete overhaul during the past 12 months which has seen it add an additional 20,000 sq ft of warehouse space and 9,500 sq ft of office space to its original 53,000 sq ft floorplate.
Around 50 of Reynaers staff have now relocated from Woodgate Valley to the new site.
The new unit incorporates Reynaer’s own products, with curtain walling, windows and sliding doors. The facility includes two showroom areas to allow customers to view products in situ, as well as on-site training facilities allowing the company to host in-house training sessions for staff from throughout Europe as well as with partner firms including architects, property developers and building professionals.
Staff also have access to dedicated break-out areas indoors and outside, with plans to install a gym in the coming weeks.
Pennycuick Collins aided the firm by acquiring the Hollymoor Way premises and subsequently disposiong of the former premises in Woodgate Valley.

Reynaers, which is headquartered in Belgium, operates in 37 countries, has a global turnover of €387m and employs more than 1,500 people worldwide.
