Luxury retailer expands with opening of new Birmingham store

Birmingham’s Bullring has welcomed the latest addition to is roster of designer brands.

New York design house Coach has taken a 280sqm unit on the upper east level of the shopping centre, placing it a hare’s breadth away from a number of other premium brands.

The Birmingham store, the brand’s fourth outside of London, is stocking Coach’s full range of bags, footwear, outerwear and accessories.

Michaela Moore, general manager, Bullring and Grand Central, said: “Coach’s opening is demonstrative of Bullring’s continued appeal to international aspirational brands as the location is already home to a prestigious retail mix.

“Coupled with the recent opening of Russell & Bromley’s debut store in the city, this news further cements Bullring’s position as one of the UK’s premier retail and leisure destinations.”

Catherine Levesque, President of Coach Europe, added: “We are thrilled to trade alongside such an esteemed list of luxury labels and at such an iconic location. The centre’s exceptional footfall is a great opportunity for us to offer our luxury products to an ever-growing affluent customer base.”

Hugo Boss has also launched its new look store following a major investment in its fit out. Located close to Coach on the upper mall, the refurb has looked to enhance the customer experience.

In addition to these brands, the last 12 months has seen Bullring also offer regional debuts for Volkswagen, Ben Sherman, T2, New Look Men and Smashbox.

Bullring has an annual footfall of more than 36 million people, with retailers performing on average 55% ahead of their national counterparts.
