Law firm Gateley has seen revenues rise 10% in the first six months of its financial year as it continues to grow the business.

It told the stock market “activity levels have been robust” and had seen “particularly strong growth” in its corporate and property service lines.

Gateley expects activity levels to remain “solid” and says it is on track to deliver a full-year performance in line with market expectations.

The Birmingham-headquartered firm, which became the first law firm to go public when it floated in 2015, added nearly 50 staff in the half-year to October. It now employs 760 people across its eight offices.

Mike Ward, chief executive of Gateley, said: “In line with our overall growth strategy, we have continued to take advantage of our brand recognition opportunities, service line enhancements and the delivery of excellent levels of client service.

“Whilst we remain focused on seeking further acquisition opportunities, our ability to achieve organic growth by attracting talent and recruiting into growing service lines places us in a strong position for the second half of the year.”
