KPMG announces new head of deal advisory for the Midlands

Glynn Bellamy

KPMG has appointed Glynn Bellamy as head of deal advisory for its Midlands practice, with immediate effect.

Bellamy takes over from fellow partner, Richard Peberdy, who has moved to lead the firm’s regional deal advisory function.

Bellamy is a transaction services partner who has worked at the firm for over 23 years, providing advice to a cross section of clients on acquisitions, disposals and fundraising. In addition to heading up the deals business in the Midlands, he will continue his role as the national deals lead for aerospace and industrials.

Bellamy will work closely with Khush Purewal, partner and corporate finance lead.

He said: “I believe we have a fantastic business with an excellent reputation in the deals market, both locally and nationally – a tribute to what is an exceptional team. Our track record and current pipeline make this is an exciting time for deals in the Midlands and I’m looking forward to overseeing the growth and development of our practice over the coming years.

“Across the Midlands, we continue to see national and global interest from investors looking to deploy capital into those high quality businesses which are market leading in their sectors. This continues to drive current M&A activity and we are proud to play our part in supporting the Midlands Engine.”

Karl Edge, KPMG’s Midlands regional chairman, added: “Our region is booming and I’m confident that our deals business will continue to flourish under Glynn’s leadership. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience, and a proven market reputation for providing invaluable insights and advice to our clients.

“We’re committed to investing in specialist support in the local market place and helping our clients as we see demand increase for our services.”
