Expansion for popular Birmingham bar and grill

The Indian Brewery

A Birmingham bar and grill has undergone expansion after proving popular with customers.

Owners of The Indian Brewery, situated within one of the distinctive arches under Snow Hill Station in Livery Street, have acquired the adjoining unit to increase capacity.

Indian Brewery supplies Birmingham lager, Indian Summer, Bombay Honey, Peacock and IPA to venues across the city including Harvey Nichols and Connolly’s wine merchants, plus Indico in Shirley.

The business is owned by Jaspal Purewal, who in an entrepreneurial move has taken over the unit to the right of the existing venue to create an enhanced offering, including a new bar.

The additional space means the Indian Brewery can now seat 90 people with extras room for standing customers.

One of the distinctive features of the venue is that diners get a direct view of the glass cellar, thereby watching as their favourite brews are dispensed through the pumps.

Jas Purewal said the expansion had enabled the bar to offer a larger menu and cocktail list.
