Chief executive replaced at LightwaveRF

Andrew Pearson, chief executive of LightwaveRF

Smart home solutions firm LightwaveRF has replaced chief executive Andrew Pearson after just 15 months in the role.

Jason Elliott, currently chief sales officer at energy data analytics Onzo, will make the move in the next three months. In the meantime LightwaveRF’s chief financial officer, Kevin Edwards, will become acting chief executive.

LightwaveRF’s chairman Barry Gamble pointed to Elliott’s sales experience as a reason for his appointment. Figures released two weeks ago showed LightwaveRF’s sales had slipped fractionally in the six months to March 2018 while investment had resulted in pre-tax losses widening.

Gamble said: “We look forward to welcoming Jason Elliott who brings with him a strong sales track record and a good understanding of the energy and related markets, which the company is seeking to address.

“His experience in fast moving technology businesses and the smart home market is highly relevant to LightwaveRF at this time.”

LightwaveRF makes a range of products, including sockets, dimmers and control devices, that sit on a cloud platform and can be operated through an app. Its system can also be operated using Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa voice control, is Apple HomeKit compatible.
