The M6 in Warwickshire is currently closed southbound between junction 2 and junction 1 because of a HGV fire overnight.

Motorists on the approach to junction 2 are facing delays of around 40 minutes, while congestion is also building on the A46 southbound, as vehicles leave the motorway from junction 2.

There are diversions set up around the incident near Coventry. Highways England is sending traffic from junction 2 to onto the M69 north to junction 1 of the A5, then to the A426 to rejoin the M6 at junction 1.
