Leicesteshire funder to open Brum office

ThinCats, the Ashby-based alternative finance specialist, has opened an office in Birmingham after recording a record £14.7m month of loans.

The office, located on Colmore Row, Birmingham, will be the West Midlands base for ThinCats, which will retain its operational headquarters in Ashby.

ThinCats says the office opening is part of an “ambitious plan” to expand ThinCats in Birmingham, bringing the business closer to its finance partners in the city and “helping to cement its position at the forefront of alternative finance provision across the region”.

Damon Walford, CDO at ThinCats, said: “We are working closely with numerous Birmingham based advisers and organisations committed to funding SMEs. The city is undergoing unprecedented levels of inward investment – we want to be on the frontline of this revolution by supporting SMEs in their growth plans.”

ThinCats says it will be revealing its full Birmingham team of funding big-hitters over the next few months.

Walford added: “We’re incredibly excited about our expansion into Birmingham. We’re building a vastly experienced team of funding experts and look forward to working with the business community in the city as it enters a new era.”
