Entec Si, the Birmingham based IT and business change consultancy, has seen its turnover grow by 50% in 2017, to reach £2.2m. Entec, which was founded in 1996, specialises in delivering business change supported by technology, and its client base has steadily grown in recent years to the point at which it undertook 75 separate client commissions during the year.

Founding director Peter Marsden said: “A lot of our clients have been with us for many years and our constant quest to achieve the best possible results has led to a fantastic year for us.”

Prominent projects have included a new portfolio management office at Birmingham Airport, the delivery of ICT and Service transformation for the Library of Birmingham, as well as the successful delivery of a major IT transformation programme for Cherwell District Council and South Northamptonshire Council.

Increased sales have enabled the business to invest in recruitment – headcount is up and growing – and better operational systems and a new website, to support its push into the aviation and local government sectors. The company retains its central belief that people are at the core of every project and therefore it will maintain its well established emphasis on the development of its teams.

Director, founder and principal consultant, Eman Al-Hillawi said: “We understand that people are at the heart of any successful change management programme. Our unique Entec Si and client blended team approach allows us to influence culture change by identifying skills and upskilling our clients’ staff to facilitate business transformation.”

Peter Marsden added: “Over the past year we have strengthened our team due to the growing desire of businesses to remain at the top of their game – this comes hand in hand with change programmes. With entrepreneurial spirit running through the very fabric of the business community, adapting to change is very much at the top of the agenda for enterprises.”

“We recognise that Entec’s achievements are largely down to the relationships we have with our clients , our strong values and the commitment of our team, and we intend to continue investing in employee growth and development to attract and maintain the best talent.”
