Developer unveils more co-living studios at former Carillion HQ

The developer behind the transformation of the former headquarters of collapsed construction firm Carillion has completed more co-living studios as part of the £11m residential scheme.

The Studios24 has released another 19 en-suite studios on the fifth floor of its development in Birch Street, which is already home to 55 residents. A further 19 studios on the first floor will be made available early in the new year.

It brings the total number of studio rooms completed in phase one to 93. Phase two of the office-to-residential conversion, including a total of 72 studios, is already underway.

The Studios24 will eventually have 218 en-suite studios, arranged as apartments, with shared facilities including kitchens, working and relaxation areas, a café and bar, gym, laundry and high speed internet.

Around 40 jobs have been created by the development, which is breathing new life into a dilapidated 12-storey office building.

Barry Glantz, managing director of The Studios24, said: “We’re making great progress with the completion of more studios and we can’t wait to welcome residents so they experience our high quality accommodation and community living.

“It’s been amazing to watch our dream of bringing co-living to Wolverhampton become an exciting reality. We offer fantastic value for money, with rent starting at just £135 per week including all bills and superfast wifi. We expect the studios to be snapped up quickly.”
