Plans for Birmingham’s ‘tallest building’ revealed

One Eastside

Developers have revealed plans for what would be Birmingham’s tallest ever building.

It is hoped that the 51-storey One Eastside residential tower would be located close to the new HS2 station on Curzon Street.

Plans include the 51-storey tower and another 15-storey one, comprising 667 one and two-bedroom apartments in total.

The top of the building would feature a sky lounge with a bar and dining area, while a gym, yoga facilities, and cinema are also part of the plan.

Anthony McCourt from developers Court Collaboration, said:  “We are truly excited about One Eastside. Bringing such a tower of scale to the region and adjacent to the entrance to our new HS2 station, this scheme will create new standards of city centre living for its residents.

“Our forward funding plans are close to being announced and this in itself will be a huge inward investment story for our region in bringing some of most mature BTR globally to our city.”

It is hoped that the scheme, which would be bigger than the BT Tower, the city’s current tallest structure, would be completed by March 2023.
