Commercial director steps down at Warwickshire CCC

Warwickshire County Cricket Club’s commercial director is set to step down after nearly eight years in the job.

Gareth Roberts has decided to leave the club in order to “pursue new opportunities elsewhere”.

Roberts was a member of the executive team that delivered the first ever Day/Night Test Match in England in 2017 and that successfully secured 31 days of Major Matches from 2020 – 2024. He has also played a major part in building the T20 Blast Finals Day into the highlight of the domestic cricket season.

Club chairman, Norman Gascoigne, said: “We wish Gareth the very best of luck in the next stage of his career and thank him for everything that he has done for Warwickshire County Cricket Club, the Birmingham Bears and Edgbaston Stadium.”
