A marketing agency has won a second international contract – this time in San Francisco.

Origin, based on Leamington Spa’s Parade, has landed a deal with with San Francisco-based technology giant, Loqate, which works with the likes of ASOS, DHL and IBM.

The working partnership saw its managing director, James Edwards and its marketing director, Sudhir Kumar, visit the Northern Californian city earlier this year.

Edwards said: “Until last year, we worked predominantly with UK-based businesses, and we’ve delivered many campaigns for brands including Isuzu, MG, Zurich, Wesleyan and Severn Trent. However, Loqate came across Origin when its team was searching for a partner to deliver its business growth programme.

“It’s amazing to see how online channels can connect a huge company in the states with a boutique agency in leafy Leamington.”

The firm said the campaign generated 89% of sales leads in their funnel by month six of the project, and it enabled the business to generate an average SSI score of 80 – a score that measures how well a business fulfils social selling practices on LinkedIn.

Yves Pahud, head of channel marketing at Loqate GBG, said: “Origin’s marketing moves away from the traditional ‘cookie cutter’ approach and its mixed in-house skill set greatly appealed to us.

“We really enjoy working with its team and even though we’re almost on the other side of the world to them, they always go above and beyond for us. The Origin team are a trusted, nimble and valuable extension of our team. We’re looking forward to continuing our work with them into the future.”

He added: “Loqate engaged us this year with a second project, so we visited their offices to gather all the information we needed to make this one a success too. This approach of aligning our team with theirs sets us apart from other agencies, as we always make the time and effort to fully understand our clients and their needs before any activity.

“We’re looking forward to growing this relationship and our client-base in the U.S. to make Midlands businesses a force to be reckoned with.”
