M40 closed during rush hour

The M40 is closed northbound between J12 (Gaydon) and J14 (Warwick) due to what Highways England is calling an “incident”.

Warwickshire Police are undertaking collision investigation work at the scene.

The road is likely to remain closed until at least 9am.

A statement from Highways England said: “Traffic is being diverted via the Solid Square symbol. Traffic is advised to exit the M40 at J12 and turn left at the top of the slip road onto the B451. Please follow the B451 which to its junction with the B4100. Continue on the B4100 until its junction with the A452. Take the A452 and follow to its junction with the M40 at J14. Rejoin the M40 northbound at J14.”
