Industrial estate full after latest deal

A Birmingham commercial estate has reached full capacity after the letting of its final unit.

Acting on behalf of Cathedral Property, Harris Lamb’s commercial agency team has let Unit 9 on Chelmsley Wood Industrial Estate on Waterloo Avenue to AM Insulation Supplies.

The letting of the 2,444 sq ft unit takes the business park to full capacity, which Harris Lamb says demonstrates the continuing demand for industrial stock throughout the Midlands.

AM Insulation Supplies has signed a lease at the asking rent of £17,000 a year.

Sara Garratt, who oversaw the letting, said: “Commercial space throughout the region has been at a premium for some years now, and this is the latest industrial estate in the Midlands to reach capacity.

“There is an unrelenting demand from businesses seeking warehouse space in the centre of the country with loading areas and good UK access links, and this opportunity fulfilled those requirements.

“Chelmsley Wood is a popular estate, favoured for its close proximity to the NEC, Birmingham Airport and Birmingham International railway station and Junction 4 of the M6, and we had a lot of interest from potential occupiers keen to lease the final opportunity at the site with AM Insulation Supplies securing the unit on a 3 year lease.”
