‘Love Brummie’ ale to bring cheer to charities

Birmingham Brewing Company has teamed up with city-based charity LoveBrum to create a new ale which will directly benefit the good causes it supports.

Love Brummie, a straw-coloured IPA, debuted at this week’s Great British Beer Festival Winter, at The New Bingley Hall, Birmingham.

The 5%, straw coloured ale, is hazy and heavily dry hopped with mosaic; it is vegan and gluten-free.

Love Brummie will be served on draught at the Great British Beer Festival Winter, with a percentage of the profits donated to LoveBrum, enabling the charity to continue its work supporting hidden gem projects across Birmingham.

Paul Harwood, owner and director at Birmingham Brewing Company, said: “LoveBrum is an incredibly important charity for the city, and we loved creating Love Brummie for them. We hope the proceeds will be a helpful contribution to the vital work they do.”

LoveBrum executive Ddirector, Paul Mitchell, added: “We’re very grateful for the support from Birmingham Brewing Company – and it’s a great tasting ale too!”

Love Brummie is the charity’s second beer-related collaboration in recent months; in October, The Good Intent, the UK’s first-ever not-for-profit bar, opened its doors in Birmingham city centre, announcing LoveBrum as the recipient of its first 12 months of profits.
