Dishoom reveals Birmingham restaurant opening date

How Dishoom will look

Indian restaurant Dishoom has revealed the opening date for its latest venue, based at Paradise Birmingham.

The restaurant at One Chamberlain Square will open its doors on April 1st and bookings will open on Sunday March 1st at 9am.

Eager patrons are invited to help Dishoom prepare for the opening by attending their soft launch, which will run from Saturday 21st to Tuesday 31st March 2020.

It said that during this “most critical final stage of preparation and training”, guests will be offered 50% off food. The soft launch is open to all and the restaurant will accept walk-ins only for the duration – no bookings.

Dishoom pays homage to the Irani cafés that were once part of the fabric of life in Bombay. Executive chef Naved Nasir’s menu of Bombay comfort food brings together the dishes of all Bombay – dishes from Irani, Parsi, Hindu and Muslim traditions.

The menu will be served alongside a new chef special, unique to Birmingham. The restaurant will also feature a Permit Room bar, serving Dishoom’s award-winning cocktails, teetotal tipples, house chai and more.

The restaurant will open in a 7,606 sq ft space at the front of One Chamberlain Square, overlooking the new public spaces and Congreve Street. Dishoom Birmingham is the team’s eighth Bombay café.
