Retailer makes £100,000 investment in latest store launch

A fast growing flooring retailer is preparing to open a new store in Wolverhampton, the third store it has opened in the Midlands within the last year.

Flooring Superstore is investing £100,000 and creating three new jobs with the opening of its 4,500 sq ft store on the St Johns Retail Park.

This will be the 19th store opened in the UK by Flooring Superstore in the space of just three years and the sixth in the last six months alone; following other recent openings in Newton Abbot, Bristol, Stockport, Crewe and Stockton.

It forms part of a UK-wide store rollout programme for the retailer, which was established in 2012 – then only selling flooring online.

Ian Robinson, Flooring Superstore regional manager, said: “We’re delighted to have been able to choose Wolverhampton for the opening of our newest store.

“With other stores opening in Coventry and Birmingham over the last year it is further consolidating our position in the Midlands, which is a strategic area for us as we continue our rapid growth across the UK.”
