Traffic Alert: Severe delays on M5

There are severe delays on the M5 southbound in Worcestershire.

Delays of at least one hour are being reported between J4a (M42) and J5 (Droitwich, A38) due to a crash between a car and lorry just before noon, resulting in a large fuel spillage.

Traffic was released in three lanes at around 1pm but there remains severe delays in the area as traffic was held for an extended period of time.

Traffic on the M5 southbound consider exiting at J4 and taking the A38 south through Bromsgrove. Traffic on the M42 south heading for the M5 south consider exiting at J1 to also use the A38 southbound through Bromsgrove.
