Coventry and Stoke placed under Tier 2 restrictions

Coventry and Stoke-on-Trent have been placed into Tier 2 restrictions.
The news was announced by Health Secretary Matt Hancock in the House of Commons this afternoon (October 22).
Hancock said that cases of Covid-19 in both Coventry and Stoke were doubling every fortnight and that there is a “concerning increase” in those in the over-60s.
The new restrictions will be enforced from 12.01am on Saturday (October 24).
