Homeserve reveals new chairman

Tommy Breen

Home repairs business Homeserve has revealed its next chairman.

Tommy Breen has been appointed as a non-executive director and chairman designate. He will succeed Barry Gibson, who has been in the role for the last 11 years.

Breen is an experienced non-executive director and until 2017 was chief executive of DCC, the FTSE 100-listed international sales, marketing and support services group, where he spent a 30-year career.

He will become Homeserve chairman in May.

Richard Harpin, founder and chief executive of HomeServe, said: “I look forward to working with Tommy as we continue our quest to make home repairs and improvements easy, for homeowners and trades. Barry has chaired HomeServe with dedication and skill, and I want to take this opportunity to thank him for his outstanding contribution. In Tommy, we have found a strong successor.”
