‘UK first’ Indo-Persian dining concept to launch at Brindleyplace
A fine dining concept offering dishes from across the Persian Empire is set to open at Brindleyplace this year.
Qavali, named after a style of Sufi devotional singing and originating from the Arabic word qual meaning “to speak”, will offer a range of dishes inspired by Turkish, Arabic, Persian and Indian cuisine.
The restaurant will open in the space previously occupied by Coast to Coast, and a fit out will begin shortly.
The 8,479 sq ft space will provide seating for up to 250 people once complete.
It is expected that Qavali will open to the public in 2021, depending on restrictions in light of Covid-19.
Creative Retail acted jointly with BWD on behalf of landlord Hines, while AMT Commercial acted for FB Holdings to complete the deal.

“Our menu will be full of rich new dishes which have been inspired by a diverse region, which for many remains relatively unexplored in terms of cuisine. Qavali will provide a high-dining experience within an environment to match and will help further broaden the horizons of our future guests.
“We can’t wait to open our doors for the first time later this year, and hope to be able to welcome our first customers sooner rather than later.”
