People: The latest West Midlands hires

Coventry law firm Brindley Twist Tafft & James has appointed two partners.

Alex Khan, a solicitor in the firm’s commercial department and Richard Stanford, a solicitor in the firm’s clinical negligence department, will remain in their respective departments.

The firm’s senior partner, Samantha Wright, said:  “Alex and Richard are just a part of BTTJ’s plans to expand our operations and ensure the newer generations of legal minds are present. Our two new partners have been key contributors to BTTJ’s success over the years and are respected by clients and colleagues at other firms.

“With Richard and Alex taking a more committed role here at BTTJ, we hope to meet the future and whatever it might bring head on and continue to provide excellent services to our clients.”

Brindley Twist Tafft & James is looking for staff to join its team with positions available in the Family, Corporate/Commercial, Clinical Negligence, Employment and Litigation departments as part of the firm’s recent expansion.

Gowling WLG has welcomed legal director Helen Roberts to its logistics team.

She brings 14 years of experience to the firm, and has worked with SEGRO and Roxhill Developments on projects such as SEGRO Park Coventry Gateway and Gateway Peterborough.

Previously Roberts was at Gateley, where she also worked for clients in the retail and leisure space.

She now joins Gowling WLG’s commercial, development and investment team in its real estate practice.

Chris Hunt, head of the real estate sector at Gowling WLG, said: “Helen is an excellent addition to our logistics team, bringing a wealth of expertise and understanding of the opportunities and challenges in the industry. David Morris

Rugby-based housing developer Mulberry has recruited two building industry experts to help oversee the production of its homes.

Previously a commercial director for a small Tamworth-based homebuilder, David Morris has joined the growing team at Mulberry as head of commercial.

Meanwhile Phil Marshall has been welcomed on board as production director.

Marshall most recently worked as an operations director for a top UK developer, and prior to that spent two years working for Lendlease in Dubai.

Established in 2011 Mulberry Homes is based in Warwickshire.
