Interiors firm appointed to five-storey development

Birmingham-based Estilo Interiors has started work on the £4.2m refurbishment of 10-22 Victoria Street in Bristol on behalf of Northwood Regional UK.

The five-storey development’s revamp will include the upgrade of 47,000 sq ft of office space to Cat A standards and a new extension to accommodate commuter facilities, including showers and changing rooms.

External works include façade enhancements to the property, part of which is Grade II listed, and a new entrance on Victoria Street, replacing the existing entrance on the junction with Counterslip.

The 16-space car park is being upgraded and new cycle storage and maintenance facilities added.

The ground floor reception in the period part of the property will be fully fitted out in a contemporary style, to include breakout areas.

The building, which will be rebranded 10 Victoria Street, is close to Bristol’s floating harbour and Temple Quay Station. It was acquired by real estate investment house Northwood Regional UK in 2015 and formerly let to serviced office provider Orega.

Adam Pickerill, technical director at Northwood Regional UK, said: “When Orega’s lease expired we took the opportunity to refurbish and improve the building and its facilities. 10 Victoria Street enjoys a prominent position in Bristol’s commercial district and our investment in the building will not only add value to the asset but boost its appeal to tenants.

“Estilo Interiors has worked with us on schemes in Edinburgh and Warrington. Their work is to a high standard, on time and budget, and we look forward to the delivery of this latest project.”

Works on 10 Victoria Street will complete in September this year.

Andrew Moore, managing director of Estilo Interiors, said: “We are working with Northwood to help them achieve three new accreditations for 10 Victoria Street – Cycle Scheme, Smart Spaces and Wired Score. In a post-pandemic world, health and wellbeing and digital connectivity are really important to occupiers and the re-fit will ensure that occupiers of the building will be able to deliver on both.”
