People: Accountancy firm makes host of hires; Director appointment for civils manufacturer; and more

Accountancy firm Burgis & Bullock, which has offices in Leamington, Nuneaton, Rugby and Stratford-upon-Avon, has made nine appointments.

Seven of the new appointments have joined the firm in trainee positions, as the company continues its commitment to developing young professionals.

Wende Hubbard, managing partner at Burgis & Bullock, said: “We have worked around the clock throughout the pandemic to ensure our clients have been supported during this incredibly difficult period for businesses.

“This support has seen us retain existing clients and attract a significant amount of new business, putting the firm in a position to expand the teams at our Leamington and Nuneaton offices.

“We are continuing to expand our apprenticeship and trainee programme. As a company, we are committed to developing our staff and providing training opportunities for young people starting their journey in accountancy.

“The firm places great importance on professional development too and we look forward to supporting our new senior-level staff with the next stage of their careers.

“These appointments are part of a wider growth strategy for Burgis & Bullock and we are working to further expand our offices across the region.”

Niamh Ford, Billie-Jo Kliner, Alexandra Holt and Sam Brindley have all joined the firm as audit trainees at Burgis & Bullock’s Leamington office.

Sam Hale has joined as accounts trainee in client services and Rishi Sharma as a graduate in the corporate tax division, both at the Leamington office.

Morgan Hill has also joined the Nuneaton office as accounts trainee in client services.

The firm has also welcomed tax senior Umer Soomro to its personal tax team in Leamington and accounts senior Jenny Chrimes to the client services team at Nuneaton.

Designer, manufacturer and supplier of innovative civil engineering solutions Wrekin Products has welcomed a new senior contractor development manager.

Andy Thomas has more than 30 years’ experience, during which time he worked on a number of major road projects across the UK, including A14, M1, M6 J19, M25 widening north and south. He will now work directly with tier one contractors across the country to improve access to value engineering enabled by the solutions Wrekin Products provides.

CarMoney, the motor finance business, has appointed Rachel Elliott, an experienced automotive sector salesperson, as its new Midlands regional sales manager.

Elliott, whose track record includes an area sales manager role with a major motor finance business and an account manager position in a leading automotive software platform operator, joins a team determined to expand the CarMoney brand throughout the region.

She said: “I am very excited to have joined CarMoney which is expanding rapidly here in the Midlands. I am already reaching out to motor dealership across the region with a package of enhanced services to make it easier for them to sell cars.
