Pegasus Group has welcomed Karen Evans as transport director at its Birmingham office.

Evans joins Pegasus Group from the Birmingham office of Wood Group UK where she was technical director and head of transport in the Planning, Transport, Places & Design team of Resilient Environments International. She is a member of the National Association Women in Construction.

Craig Rawlinson, senior transport director at Pegasus Group, said: “Karen has more than 20 years of industry knowledge and experience in traffic, highways and transportation working on multi-disciplinary projects in both the public and private sectors.

“Transport is one of our most rapidly growing areas and bringing Karen’s expertise into our Birmingham office will enable us to provide a more streamlined national service.

“I very much look forward to introducing her to the team and working with her in order to build and enhance our offering.”

Law firm Lodders has announced ten senior promotions across its real estate, private client, and family teams, including two legal director appointments and a partner.

In Lodders’ real estate department, Ian Yarde and Theresa Spalding are promoted to legal director, and Daniel Macleod and Josy Haigh to senior associate. Lauren Pearson, who joined Lodders as a paralegal in 2014, and completed her training and qualified as a solicitor at the firm, is promoted to associate.

Family law expert Vivienne Middleton of Lodders’ Birmingham-based family law team becomes a partner, and Gill Coombs and Sarah Hawkins are promoted to senior associate in Lodders’ private client team.

Also a member of the family law team, Christine Williams, becomes an associate, and Angela Howard is promoted to the role of marketing manager at the firm.

Managing partner Paul Mourton says: “Each of the individuals chosen for promotion are very capable, committed and talented experts in their field. Many of them have progressed their careers entirely at Lodders, and all make a highly important and valuable contribution to their teams, the firm, and our clients.”

Richard Coles

Principle Estate Management has appointed a senior building surveyor to head a new department that will bring long-term maintenance and major works in-house.

Richard Coles has joined Principle from Blacksons Chartered Surveyors, where he was associate director.

He had previously worked as a chartered surveyor at Gleeds and Cushman & Wakefield, following his initial training to become a member of the RICS at Lambert Smith Hampton.

Joe Jobson, a director at Principle, said: “As a business we are really excited by Richard’s appointment. He will oversee a new department which will bring a number of key functions in-house.

“This will give us the ability to complete long term maintenance plans and oversee major works in-house, giving us much greater control as we will prioritise these tasks internally rather than being reliant on external partners.

“It is a demonstration of the success we have had over the last few years that we are able to bring such a service in-house.”
