People: Partner announcements boost Sanderson Weatherall Birmingham office; Senior hire for EV charging company; and more

Chartered Surveyors and property consultants Sanderson Weatherall has welcomed two new partners to its Birmingham office.

Sanderson Weatherall has appointed Oliver Young who will head up the building consultancy team in Birmingham. He brings with him over 15 years experience having worked within the building surveying teams of CBRE and Paragon Building Consultancy in London.

James Carver has been promoted to partner having joined the firm in February 2018 as an associate. Offering valuation, agency and general professional advice, he has has played an active role in the growth of the firm’s service offering in the Midlands.

Malvern-based EV charging company Indra has hired Leighton King, who joins the business as its first chief commercial officer.

With a track record of over 20 years experience within the automotive and marine industry, the appointment of King is just one of a number of key moves the company is making as part of its ambitious growth plans.

Having previously held senior positions at Aston Martin, in his most recent role as commercial director at LEVC, King was responsible for managing the rebranding of the company and launching the range of electric commercial vehicles.

Today, Indra has the world’s smartest and most reliable EV charger, plus it is extremely simple to use. In the future we will bring products and services to the market that will completely transform the energy ecosystem surrounding electric vehicle charging.

A business outsourcing provider has announced the appointment of a new director who will support the firm’s new and existing clients in the energy sector.

Midlands firm Sigma Connected, which offers expertise in customer contact, collections and sales across the energy, water, retail, financial services and telecommunications sectors, has appointed Rob Sawle as director of energy services.

Sawle joins Sigma Connected from energy provider npower where he was director of customer operations.

Sigma’s chief commercial officer Ben Jones said: “Rob is another first-class addition to our leadership team and brings a huge amount of experience and an exceptional track record. As we grow, the number of our energy clients is expanding too and we want to be at the forefront of offering them the best advice, the most innovative customer solutions and best-in-class strategy support.

Shropshire Homes has recruited a commercial director.

Tom Cox joins the property developer from Taylor Wimpey, where he began as a management trainee before progressing to the role of commercial manager in 2019.
