Poundland will open a new store in Stechford, Birmingham on Saturday.

The new store, at Flaxley Parkway, Stechford Retail Park, will employ 22 staff.

Poundland’s retail and transformation director, Austin Cooke, said: “The West Midlands is Poundland’s heartland and where its roots are, so we’re very proud to be opening another store in the region and bringing our amazing value to more Birmingham shoppers.

“Our Stechford store offers a fantastic range of items so customers can get more of what they need in one trip and our investment in the design and layout will give them the best possible customer experience.”

Birmingham has been a focus for investment by Poundland this year, with the opening of a new store at Acocks Green, the conversion of 76-77 Corporation Street into a standalone PEP&CO store and the move into a larger store at St Andrews Retail Park.
