Seven new deals secured on Worcestershire industrial estate

A WORCESTERSHIRE industrial estate has secured new lettings and renewals on seven units.

The Lakeside industrial park in Redditch, which is owned by Centurion Properties and Scottish Widows Investment Partnership Property Trust, has welcomed electronics company Maxey Moverley as its latest tenant.

The company has taken the 11,711 sq ft Unit 6 on a 10-year lease which it will be using as a technical service centre for the repair of CCTV systems, alarm systems and other electronic equipment.

National tyre recovery firm Tirec has agreed a deal to take the 15,572 sq ft Unit 15 on a 10-year lease with a five-year break option.

Global chemical company BASF has agreed to extend its tenure of Units 16, 18 and 19, totalling 43,173 sq ft, for another 10 years with a five-year break option.

The units are used for the manufacture and warehousing of resin flooring systems and the company is also developing a training suite and demonstration laboratory.

Stratford Precision Engineering Services, which specialises in premium press and assembly work, has agreed a 10-year lease on the 15,516 sq ft Unit 5 while LA Glass has extended its lease of the 6,391 sq ft Unit 13 for a similar term.

Agents on the scheme, Lambert Smith Hampton and CBRE, say they are close to closing deals with three occupiers on a further 20,000 sq ft.
