Healthcare start-up set to turnover £2.5m

Healthcare consultancy firm Mprove is on track to record a turnover of more than £2.5m following only two years of trading.

The Birmingham-based consultancy says it’s the UK’s first “system-flow consultancy” and it provides innovative, cost-effective solutions to improve the delivery of health and social care services.

Liam Molesworth and Sam Alsop-Hall

It was founded by Liam Molesworth and Sam Alsop-Hall, who are also co-owners of Woodrow Mercer healthcare, just two weeks before the start of lockdown in March 2020. Achieving a turnover of £1m in its first year, the business is set to increase that by 150%.

Alsop-Hall said: “Launching the consultancy just before the nation went into lockdown didn’t come without its challenges, however, we’re proud to have not only established ourselves but absolutely thrived – continuing exceptional business growth month-by-month.

“Having started Mprove with just Liam and I, moving into a new city centre office with our team was a huge milestone for the business – particularly just 12 months after we began. We’ve also been able to support five apprentices, who we’re proud to mentor and develop into the talent of tomorrow.

Mprove recently relocated to WeWork on Colmore Row, where its team of 20 will return following a lift on restrictions.
