People: Avison Young makes eight promotions; Director moves up the ladder at events software provider; and more

Strategic real estate advisor Avison Young has made a raft of director promotions within its Birmingham office.

As part of Avison Young’s annual round of director promotions, eight of the Birmingham team have achieved the title across its planning; restructuring; property management; valuations; building consultancy and business development teams.

Birmingham’s new directors include Ben Ransom; Liam McKenna; Lisa Jones; Miles Drew; Sarah Redley; Stephanie Eastwood; Toby O’Sullivan and Wai-Kwan Jackson.

Events software provider VenuIQ has promoted its senior business development manager Luke Buckley to head of partnership network.

With seven years of industry experience, he joined VenuIQ in 2018, and has since played an instrumental role in growing its direct customer base and building its partnership network, which includes event agencies, professional conference organisers and AV companies.

His promotion marks a pivotal moment in VenuIQ’s growth, with plans to continue developing its industry connections and further positioning itself as the go-to event software provider both in the UK and internationally.

Oliver Rowe, co-founder of VenuIQ, said: “Building our partnership network has become a central part of VenuIQ’s growth strategy, and Luke’s promotion is further commitment to that.

Bowcock & Pursaill (B&P) Solicitors has supported Flora Aubrey through her professional development.

She joined Bowcock & Pursaill in April 2018 as an office junior, following her A Levels.

She said: “When I first joined the firm, my responsibilities involved looking after the general admin of the office such as monitoring and ordering stationery, organising legal case files and various office duties to support the wider team.”

B&P holds four offices, Hanley, Eccleshall, Leek and Uttoxeter, from where its partners, solicitors and legal executives serve the community in all aspects of legal advice including, employment, tax, residential property and professional services.

Aubrey climbed the ranks within the Uttoxeter office to a paralegal position.

Through CILEx Law School, she is completing her Level 3 Diploma in Law and Practice with plans to undertake training to qualify as a solicitor or chartered legal executive, specialising in conveyancing.
