Luna Springs reopens for a summer of fun following refurbishment

Birmingham’s largest outdoor events and music space is set to reopen tomorrow (Thursday 7th April) following a series of refurbishments and upgrades.

With an increase in capacity from 1800 to 3000 people, Luna Springs has a host of events such as yoga, karaoke, male strip show and bottomless brunches to open-air film screenings with food headliners like Woody Cook, Gok Wan, Fat Tony and 24-Hour Garage Girls.

The space has added a brand new seven-meter LED screen for all sports showings as well as a new JBL sound system. To add to the production, confetti cannons and CO2 machines have also been fitted.

Its pergola has also been increased, enabling twice as many people to take shelter from the weather.

Tom Kidd, the co-founder of Adventure Bar Group said: “We’re incredibly excited to be heading into another summer at Luna Springs and this year we’re coming back bigger and better than ever before. We’ve really ramped up the offering with an increased capacity, improved sound system and a roster of events unlike anything else in Digbeth.

“Our mission is to make Luna Springs the go-to hotspot for the party people of Birmingham – with our no-holds-barred approach to partying and everything from huge headline shows to unique themed brunches, there’s no doubt this summer will be one for the history books.”

The food offerings have also been moved in-house and now include two new street-food containers. One hosts Wingmans and will serve up crispy chicken wings and Slice Up Your Life, a new pizza offering with thin-crust pizzas, stone-baked on-site, all alongside the Happy Patty joint which will continue to serve up burgers.

There are new events ready for 2022 such as Brunchaoke, a sing-along brunch and a Disco Divas Draf Brunch with hot Fat Butcher, both of which run every Saturday.

Cosmic Disco, an open-air disco extravaganza fusing dance music joins the event line-up with three special guests Norman Cook’s son Woody Cook, Gok Wan and Fat Tony.

Monthly Sundays throughout summer will offer the chance to enjoy a series of dog-themed movies in the great outdoors, with pups welcome at the outdoor cinema for Pawsecco, pupcorn as well as cocktails for the humans.

Easter Bank Holiday on April 17th is a Thai-style Full Moon Party with Thai street-food vendors, UV paint, a 10 metre UV octopus, fire artists and dancers.
