Permission has been granted for up to 150 new homes on an area of green belt in Walsall.

The site between Harden Road and Whateley Road was previously recommended for refusal, but it has been a focus for anti-social behaviour.

A Walsall council report said the site had been a long-term concern for residents due to anti-social behaviour and “to address this in the long term, a solution would be to bring forward the site for residential development”.

Plans for the residential development on the five-acre site also include 300 parking spaces.
