People: RSM strengthens audit capability with new partner; Trio of hires at property consultancy; and more

RSM UK has appointed Andy Williams to strengthen the firm’s audit team in Birmingham.

He will focus on growing both the practice and the capability of the audit team throughout the Midlands region.

Williams has more than 20 years audit experience working with many large high-profile clients across a diverse range of sectors including: utilities, retail, transport, sports and leisure. He has a proven track record of winning significant contracts with international private and public sector audit clients.

In his new role he will drive the further expansion and development of the Birmingham audit team, focusing on the Midlands market, while supporting the career development of junior audit team members.

Prior to joining RSM, he spent 20 years as an auditor at Big Four firms including four years working in Sydney. He is a member of the ICAEW and a Fellow Chartered Accountant.

Williams said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining a fantastic team and looking forward to leveraging my experience to coach and develop the juniors and manager group. It’s an exciting time to be joining RSM at a time of great opportunity for the firm.”

Property consultancy Burley Browne has made a hat-trick of new appointments.

The Sutton Coldfield-based business has welcomed Hollie Doodie, Tendai Mutisi and Sharon Pick, and is looking to make further appointments after winning significant levels of new business recently.

Pick has been appointed as property accountant. Her full time role is supporting the growing property management department. She previously worked at Birmingham property consultancy Centrick.

Mutisi joins as a graduate surveyor in the professional services team. She recently gained a MA in Real Estate at Birmingham City University and previously worked at Colliers.

Doodie has been appointed office manager, supporting the directors and fee earners. She has a background in property and joins from quantity surveyors Henry Riley.

Will Richardson joined Burley Browne just over a year ago as a graduate surveyor in the agency team. He gained a BSc Hons Real Estate Management degree from Oxford Brookes and previously worked at Salloways in Derby.
