Roythornes Solicitors has completed its relocation to new Birmingham offices as the business continues to expand.

Taking a 3,500 sq ft space at 1 Newhall Street, this is Roythornes fourth move in the city since opening its first Birmingham office in February 2020.

Centrick commercial director Alex Tross, acting on behalf of Roythornes, secured the deal with landlords Ardstone Capital. The building has recently undergone a full refurbishment to provide Grade A office space with excellent amenities and common areas.

Tross said: “The accommodation at 1 Newhall Street is superb following a back-to-frame refurbishment and, with its highly convenient central location, presents a compelling proposition.

“Roythornes Solicitors has enjoyed continued growth since arriving in Birmingham just two years ago and was in temporary serviced accommodation at Great Charles Street.

“The company recognised the many benefits of moving to its own Grade A office space and 1 Newhall Street offers them a permanent, high quality base where its team can flourish.”

Roythornes’ managing director Vember Mortlock said: “Our exciting expansion furthers our commitment to Birmingham as a city, and to its dynamic real estate market. This is an important area of growth for us and we’re looking forward to continuing our work across the West Midlands, serving both longstanding and new clients.”

Formerly known as Phoenix House, 1 Newhall Street was acquired by Ardstone Capital in 2014. It contains office accommodation over eight upper floors, with a retail unit at ground floor, and storage space at basement level.

Centrick chairman James Ackrill said: “It is wonderful to see companies doing well and continuing to commit to city centre offices as we all learn to adapt to the new hybrid way of working. The investment by landlords Ardstone Capital in a total refurbishment of the property is paying real dividends.”
