All smiles as Stoke-on-Trent dentist expands

Abbey House Dental Practice has secured a £1.6m investment from Barclays to support the opening of a brand-new private practice in Stoke-on-Trent.
 
Currently operating as an NHS practice in Stone, Stafford, the practice is led by husband-and-wife team, Amit and Mumta Jilka, both dentists. Opening in 2012, the practice has grown rapidly and now has more than 20,000 patients, employing 50 staff, in addition to the 27 qualified dentists.
 
Barclays funded the original Stone acquisition in 2015 and since then have funded two additional premises and two more adjoining units as the business has expanded to cope with demand. 
 
To continue to support their growing business and to cope with the increasing demand for private work, especially in the growth in Invisalign and Dental Implant treatments, Abbey House Dental will open a “luxurious” private practice in Stoke-on-Trent at Festival Park.
 
Dr Amit Jilka, co-owner and dental implantologist at Abbey House Dental said “We are hugely excited about the new practice in Stoke-on-Trent, which will allow us to meet the increasing demand for private work in a new geographical location, especially in the growth of Invisalign and Dental implant treatments.
