Wolverhampton Pride returns to the city this summer

Wolverhampton’s LGBT Pride event is finally returning to the city after a four-year absence.

This year’s event takes place from noon until 10pm on Saturday 10 June in School Street at the heart of the city centre’s LGBT+ community.

Wolverhampton Pride is a celebration of our city’s LGBT+ community and open to everyone to come and support LGBT+ inclusion together.

Over the last 12 months, City of Wolverhampton Council said it has been working with Enjoy Wolverhampton Business Improvement District, Gorgeous Nightclub, Gorgeous Radio, Wolverhampton LGBT and X2Y.

Key features of Wolverhampton Pride 2023 are a parade, main stage with live music, drag artists and DJs, food, bars, community stalls and face painting.

Cllr Paula Brookfield said: “Pride is back, and I’m delighted to say it will be bigger and better than ever. It’s a great opportunity for people to come together and celebrate who they are in a safe and happy, party environment.

“Pride is our city’s celebration of the LGBT+ community, is open to everyone and promises to be a great day. I am thrilled that we are launching this during LGBT History Month, and I encourage everyone to get involved.”

Tickets for Pride are now on sale and are £3 for adults, £1.50 for concessions (12-17 year olds, over 65s, disabled and carer) and under 12s free.
