Automated vehicle specialist partners with Changi Airport
International provider of transport technology solutions, Aurrigo, has signed a formal partnership agreement with Changi Airport Group for the continued joint development and testing of the company’s autonomous vehicles.
The Coventry firm first partnered with Singapore’s Changi Airport for the next phase of development of the Auto-Dolly, Aurrigo’s innovative baggage transportation solution for airports. This phase involved trialling the Auto-Dolly on the ground at Changi Airport.
It will now continue this work as well as developing and testing its Auto-DollyTug and its airport simulation software platform Auto-Sim.
The multi-year partnership with CAG provides an opportunity for the further development of Aurrigo’s autonomous solutions and showcase the technology to other airports and stakeholders.
The development and testing of Aurrigo’s autonomous vehicles is partially funded by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) through its Aviation Development Fund (ADF). The ADF supports initiatives to improve productivity in the Singapore aviation sector through the use of innovative solutions.
