Tech entrepreneurs snap up digital agency

A pair of tech entrepreneurs have acquired a Midlands-based app, website and digital agency.

Matt and Tashlien Nunn from Leamington Spa, have bought ImagePlus, an independent full service agency.

The firm which is based in Coventry, counts Jaguar Land Rover, Hammonds Furniture, Stellantis and Coventry University among its clients. ImagePlus employs 22 team members at its headquarters at Electric Wharf in Coventry and further offices in Manchester.

Matt and Tashlien Nunn who have worked in the tech industry for more than 30 years combined, previously employed ImagePlus to develop SoccerPots – an app that enables groups to take part in virtual football leagues, and raise money by predicting football results.

ImagePlus was founded in 1995 by Alan Hartin, who started the business from his home office 28 years ago. Hartin has retained a minority stake and will continue working for the company as their sales director.

He said: “I am really proud of where ImagePlus is today – the team, the 4-day working week, the culture and clients – so I wanted to stay very much involved but, at the same time, I realised that the time was right to make a change to allow our progress to continue.

“We have experienced considerable growth in the last few years and as they say, the sky’;s the limit. We have grown a highly-skilled team and have a very good reputation for delivering results.

“We are now in a position to really drive ImagePlus forward to the next level and having Tash and Matt, with their business and tech experience, at the helm will make that happen.”

Matt is a systems architect by trade, having spent much of his career in corporate environments delivering complex technical solutions at an enterprise level. Whilst Tashlien’s expertise is more strategic and operational driven, from working with corporates to small business owners, specialising in business sustainability and growth.

She said: “Working with ImagePlus to create SoccerPots gave us great insight into the team and its culture. Not only did they create an incredible product, but they were seamless to work with.

“Matt and I have always wanted to bring our specialist skills under one roof and run a business together, and we believe we are well placed to build on what Alan and the team have created here at ImagePlus.

“It was key for us to retain Alan and we’re so pleased he’s going to be part of the future plans for ImagePlus.

“As a full-service agency, we are committed to crafting experiences and delivering solutions through digital innovation, empowering change and driving growth for our customers”.

ImagePlus has seen a 200% growth in the last four years as the team and client base has expanded.

Luckmans LDP and Band Hatton Button acted for ImagePlus. Wright Hassall acted for Matt and Tashlien Nunn.
