Castings group secures major new contract

Castings and engineering group Chamberlin has revealed its new contract win, which it expects to deliver €7.3m of revenue over the next eight years.

The castings subsidiary of the firm will supply complex turbo charger bearing housing castings from its Walsall foundry, to an unnamed European automotive company that will be utilised in its passenger car engines.

Tooling production is set to begin in July 2023, with the supply of the same production parts to take place during this financial year.

Serial production commences in July 2024 and is expected to contribute annual revenues of €1.1m.
